Adyasha Mohapatra and Rudraskhya Parida gave Orissa a double delight by winning the girls and boys titles in the 23rd National under-7 Chess Championship, which concluded at Ahmedabad today.
In the 11-round competition, Bhubaneswar girl Adyasha and Cuttack boy Rudrakshya secured 10.5 points with 10 wins and one draw. The title wins enabled the two Orissa youngster qualify for next year`s related Asian and World championships. This is the first time that Orissa players bagged a double in any National chess championship.
